The World Federation’s Islamic Education Board visits BMMK


Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya (BMMK) was honoured to host members of the Islamic Education Board of The World Federation of KSIMC on 21 & 22 August 2010.
The convoy comprised the Assistant Secretary General: Sayyid Ali Raza Naqvi and his colleagues Al haj Mulla Mohammed A. Kassamali, Al haj Shaykh Safdar A Jaffer and Al haj Shaykh Abbas M H Ismail, key members of the Islamic Education team.
The Chairman of Africa Federation Tableegh Board Al Haj Sayed Hassan Naqvi was also in attendance.
On arrival at the BMMK secretariat, the visitors were shown to different operations like Printing, QASD, Bookshop, Multimedia and Main Office by Br. Ahmedali and other BMMK committee members.
The guests then met members of BMMK committee led by Al haj Abbas Nasser. The meeting started at around 3:30 pm with Br. Ahmedali on behalf of Br. Mujtaba Peera, CEO of BMMK, giving a brief account of the activities conducted by the mission.
Thereafter, BMMK Chairman, Al haj Abbas Nasser, presented a paper which detailed on the achievements of BMMK since its inception and the challenges that the organization is currently facing especially in the field of tableegh.


The meeting ended at around 5:30 pm with Al haj Ali Raza Naqvi commending BMMK for work well done. The guests were particularly impressed by the general organization of records maintained by the QASD section and BMMK at large.
IEB AT THE CENTRES
On 22 August 2010at around 2:40 pm, Sayyid Ali Raza Naqvi, Assistant Secretary General of IEB, left Mombasa on a visit of BMMK Centres of Chengoni and Samburu accompanied by BMMK Committee members, BMMK’s CEO Br. Mujtaba Peera and Br. Ahmedali of QASD department - BMMK
On arrival at Al Hujjah Centre Chengoni, the guests were warmly welcome by the Centre Imam, Ustadh Ali Wando. Sayyid Ali Raza Naqvi was requested to address a congregation of mu’minin who were attending the after-dhuhurayn-prayer majlis, it being the Holy Month of Ramadhan. In his brief lecture, Sayyid Ali Raza Naqvi insisted on the importance of attaining taqwa and the love of Ahlul Bayt (a.s).
The guests were later shown to the New Muallim Houses and the recently completed Tailoring Classrooms. Amid salawat, the guests departed Al Hujjah Chengoni and headed to Al Mahdy Centre, Samburu.
At Al Mahdy Centre Samburu, Sayyid Ali was introduced to Br. Jaffer Achui, an Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teacher at Samburu Secondary School who managed to steer the school to record the best results in his subject throughout the larger Kinango district in the 2009 KCSE National Examinations eventually winning an award of a trophy and a certificate by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology.
Later in the afternoon the visitors were rejuvenated from the recitation of qasidas by Madrasah Al Mahdy Samburu, which praised the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w) and his beloved Ahlul Bayt (a.s).

Thereafter, the visitors began their journey back to Mombasa, tired but happy for a day well spent.
Sayyid Ali commented, "This was a truly memorable visit and I appreciated the time allocated to mself and my team. The Mission is performing some excellent work and I commend their efforts. I look forward to working with them alongside AFTAB to ensure they are supported."
